My first Mod...Curb Alert Mini install
Well, being a new Vette owner I was unaware of the sacrificial parts that will scrape away underneath but having my bumper scrape just 1 time was enough for me to get a curb alert. I got mine from Corvette Mods in Fort Worth. They were great, very quick and available by email.
I saw some videos of easy installs for the curb alert but I wanted mine installed with the wiring harness routing. I looked and found some photos of audio pics that showed the areas but nothing specifically for the curb alert install so I just wanted to post these pics for reference. After I got it done, it's pretty freaking easy to just route through the firewall vs around the door jamb and visible.
Anyway, heres the pics. Only thing to mention is to do it easy, take the battery out. I've got a C6. The wiring harness goes through an access hole right behind the battery. Easy, just cut the electrical tape, make a coat hanger fish hook to run the wire for the sensor (grease it up) and pull it through. I put the speaker up under the dash (mounted on the metal box in the pic, behind the dash cover). Tucked the wires and box up under the amp. Works fine, just make sure to adjust the sensor up front and tighten the bolt. Was a little loose on mine.
