Added gm10 aux to 2002 vert with cd changer. I have static in background . I am not sure I have a good ground. Would this cause static? Where is a good ground in area of trunk cd changer? Was under the impression I would be able to control iPod with radio controls. Is thee a easy to install unit that can control iPod by radio controls? Thanks
Then you either don't have the GM10-Aux, or you have extra stuff in addition to it. The GM10-Aux connects to the changer cord on one end, and has two RCA inputs on the other, there isn't any part of it that would supply power to an ipod.
You can try putting one of these between the GM10 and the cable running to the ipod, it may work.
I would still like to know where good ground is in area of cd changer in trunk. I still want to eliminate this. Yes , I have checked the volume settings. Thanks

You can drill a small hole in rear wall and run wire to ground on rear bumper. It's just inside the inner passenger tail light IIRC.
