I don't know about quick or inexpensive.....
I suggest you do it right, I am in the middle of it right now too.
I am using an pac module to give rca outputs on my NAV headunit.
I am using aftermarket amps and speakers. You don't have to spend a ton.
I spent about $1k on amps and speakers and accessories. The rest
is finding time to do it all.......
Not sure if you can get a satisfactory boost quickly, inexpensively and without tearing up the vette. First, what is you specfic goal? What kind if boost are you looking for? You want more volume? More bass? Second, what is your budget? You can attack this project in phases, but understand that the ultimate boost you are seeking may not be immediate. As for quick, I assume you mean easy or relatively simple. There is a bit of a learning curve but if you read the stickies and the FAQ and do some searches you can learn everything you need to know. The more boost you are looking for the more involved the project. I tackled my poject in phases and accomplished everything primarily over two full weekends plus some evenings for tweaking. Finally, what do you consider tearing up the vette? Just replacing front and rear speakers will require removing panels. Most installs will not require cutting parts.
Please provide more insight and the helpful members of this sub forum will steer you in the correct direction.
Looking to lean on your experience. I have a stock C6, the stereo is OK but man would I like to give it a boost and not tear up my car.
Anybody got ideas of a quick, inexpensive way to give me beefed up tunes in my C6?
Thanks Yall!!
Well, I left my stock HU in place and just added an amp that drops into one cubby, a subwoofer that drops into the other cubby and new speakers in the doors.
I only had to remove the door panels, which is probably the least you can get away with if you don't want to take the car apart.
