There's people have that have made boxes for the storage compartments and some that have modified the rear speaker housing for a sub.
I looked at both and opted for a full box in the back.
No matter which direction you go you'll likely need some custom work done for your wiring and amplifiers.

My "stealth" box will have a solid top that will either by leather/vinyl or carpeted. There wouldn't be any confusion that something is there to a C4 owner but will look factory and not added on.
