I'm currently running a JL 10w3 in a stealth box in my C5 convertible. It's powered by 2 channels of the JL 600/4 HD amp. I run JL C5 650's up front and a Kenwood 8140 HU.
The sound is great with the top up but the sub disappears with the top down running down the highway. I can set the sub at higher level but it will blast you out when you slow down. I'm looking for suggestions for a sub setup that I can still hear ono the highway.
Kevin
I have a setup for you.
I have these two side boxes for a C5 vert
both boxes with a second JL 10w3
500.00 shipped
I just gave the Focal subs setting in them currently now not mounted
I have them left from an install that didn't happen.
Normally 275.00 a side plus the sub
I can control it from the HU. I guess the what I'm trying to find out is will a couple 8 inch subs provide a more "penetrating' sound at highway speeds or some different configuration or power (amp) level do it. I get tired of changing the sub setting all the time just driving around.
