I removed my CD changer and want to hook up an AUX cable. I bought the AUX cable and snipped off 1 end. I also snipped off the CD changer end. I wired that up correctly but cannot get the radio to switch to the AUX input. My question is how can I trick the Radio into thinking the CD is there so the radio will switch the the AUX input?
Right now it is wired up as shown below
Vehicle Green/White to AUX Red
Vehicle Brown/White to AUX Black
Vehicle Ground to AUX Ground
Vehicle Shield to AUX shield
The only reason I am doing this is because I am doing the Hot Rod Power Tour this year and want to be able to use Pandora on my phone. I am in the process of buying components for a complete stereo overhaul but wont have all the components or the time to install by then.
Plush cd changer back in. It needs to physically see the changers data connection. If you need an installer for your upgrade let me know I have done a number of forum members cars

I sold the changer so I can't do that. Is there a way to mimic the changer with a resistor or applying 12V or Ground to the E&C serial data wire?
Thanks for the offer but I am going to do it myself. I've installed a number of systems in various different cars before. It will be getting the following.
I screwed the pooch on this one. I know about the adapters I didn't want to spend the money on those, I would rather put the money towards the things to finish my audio overhaul. Looks like I'll just have to use the radio and CD player until then.
If your car is a C5 coupe you can do it at the antenna module behind the drivers seat, so no dash removal would be required.
