The Bose Audio system uses individual amps for each speaker.
It's very common for the speaker amps to go out due to discharged leaking capacitors. Replacement circuit boards can be bought but, very expensive.
When using an aftermarket head unit, all the Bose speakers must be replaced.
It's really straight forward and less costly to just replace the entire audio system than having each Bose speaker amp replaced since, they will all go out eventually.
