Default Aftermarket HU install question

I just picked up a Pioneer AVH-3500 along with the appropriate dash kit. I know I still need to get the antenna adapter and plan on getting that tomorrow which just leaves the wiring harness. I originally bought the GMOS-04 but after reading about it, it seems like it is much more trouble than it is worth.

If I go with the PAC setup will the CR2-GM24 be the one I need?

I have a 2005 with bose but no onstar, the guy at the stereo shop said I need the BOSE specific pac wires unless I had the bose premium system in which case i could use the cr2-gm24 so now I am confused..

the c2rgm24 is your best option with 2 ground loop isolators

Thanks, If I did decide to keep the GMOS 04 that I already have...is it essential to cut the blue/white wire and send it thru a relay like the instructions recommend? Should I even consider the GMOS or is it really that much of a headache I should just order the c2rgm24?

you do not need the relay

its not bad as long as you wire it correctly
must connect both red wires and make sure you connect to the blue white white not the blue pink I think it is. Looks white

Ok looks like I am going to try to use the GMOS, here is what I have right now.

I assume the jack circled in red goes into the remote plug in the back of the aftermarket unit?

This look right?

The HU is now installed but I am still having an issue. The bass seems lacking and volume levels seem to be low. When you turn it up to a higher level the music just sounds muddy and bad/distorted but still not nearly as loud as the stock unit.

I have done some searching and see that changing the "potentiometer" on the GMOS will affect the overall power the system is getting but could something else be wrong possibly? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

To follow up to all of this, I finally got the sound fixed. For anyone planning on using the GMOS make sure the chimes are turned up loud so the unit gets plenty of power. I started off by having the chimes turned very low and the sound quality was horrible and wouldn't go very loud.
