Default C5 FM Radio Flutter

I'm having some trouble with an aftermarket eclipse AVN5435 I installed over the winter.

The radio signal strength is fine, however I'm experiencing some fluttering noise even when I'm close to the radio station. Unplugging the front antenna seems to have no effect on the signal. The fluttering is worse on stormy days.

I have connected 12V to the Antenna Module and tried connecting 5V to the pink wire though I unpinned the connector to do so and I'm unsure if I connected the 5V to the correct pin since one pin is left empty. Does anyone remember if the pink wire was above or below the green wire with the module installed? (maybe someone has a picture of the connector?)

Based on the fact that 5v is typically a signal voltage I'm curious if the original system used logic in the stock head unit to actively switch the 5v signal to alternate between the front and rear antenna but I have no datalogger nor the original radio to test this...

C5 prints are HERE

IIRC, in C5 the 5v signal is there to turn on the antenna amplifier, and the stock radio only turns it on in FM mode, which would probably make your fluttering worse.
