I have a new Kenwood head unit and a 5 ch amp. I wired front speakers to A channel, the speakers in the middle to B and the sub to the sub hook up on the amp. I do not seem to get any sound from b or c channels. the head unit is the DNX890HD. What did I miss?
If im not mistaken...i believe the HU has three sets of rca outputs on the back of the radio. If so, did you connect all three to the amp? My pioneer is set up that way...have all three plugged in to amps. One 4ch (2 sets of rca's) and one going to a sub amp.
I am running the 990 hd with the Kenwood xr900-5
Three sets of RCA from preout to amp.
You have to Pgm the audio setup I the HU
If you did not set up the audio setup I the HU the they will not receive a signal
Make sure your RCA outputs are all on with the proper HPF settings. Same with the amp, check filter settings to be sure you're letting the sound through.

Are you familiar with this amp/head unit. Spent some time today but can't seem to make it work!

Get into the setup feature on the HU and check that rears are set at HPF with frequency set somewhere around 80-100. Same with sub channel, but it should be on LPF with the same setpoint.
On the amp, check the settings so they're the same as the HU. If you have a switch for 2 vs. 4 RCA inputs, you should have it on 4 if you connected all of the wires, or 2 if you only used the front outputs to the amp.
