My box is only five inches deep and it's about a half inch from the back up lights. So anything bigger than a ten would be a ton more work and not be able to use stock panels. Not saying it couldn't be done !

***** made of steel...

While I certainly considered doing this, I never had the stones to cut the back end of my car apart to do it. It takes a pretty big commitment to do something like that.

Well done.

So where did you get the carbon fiber to make the box? What's the expense of the material? Now you've got my gears grinding in my head... maybe I could pull this off in my C6.

Fiberglass would work fine. I used cf cause it was free! Thank you work but fleabay has cf also. It takes some time to make a foam mold, size up everything make adjustments and so forth. I also so made cf pods for inside the doors to house 6.5s... Yes it was hard to cut a lower mileage, unmolested Nassau blue up ! But it's all in good fun !!!!

I too, have cut into the tub of my c5. No biggie really. Just hide it really well if you ever go to sell it.

Very Creative. I like it, but not sure if I have the courage to do the cutting!
