Default Removing Onstar Module....code fault?

I am probably going to have to remove the onstar module to make
my Vettenutz pod fit on the right side. I have the pod in the trunk now
and it fits with the module out. There is really no room for it once
I get the carpet back in and the pod installed correctly. If I remove it,
and splice the J4 plug, will I get a trouble code? My car is working
perfectly and I don't want to screw anything up.
It is an 08 vert.
I posted on this a while back, but have not had the time or warm enough
weather to mess with it. I am just monkeying with it now, I have to wait
till July for my week off work to really get into it.
I just need to make up my mind, keep the module in, or remove it.....
Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you can reroute the wires there should be enough room to put the box behind the trim piece above the wheel hump, just behind the rear speaker.

Even if you yank the box, you shouldn't get any codes as long as you jumper the wires.

Thanks Mark, I will see what I can do with it today.
If I can find a place for it I will leave it in as long as
it is out of sight. I don't mind removing it, I just don't
want any trouble codes.

I got it moved and it just barely fits. I put it behind the rear speaker as you
suggested. Basically it was the only place it would go. The wires were long
enough too, that was amazing. I cut a small slit in the carpet to get the
plugs through. It does not appear to interfere with top operation either.
If I ever sell the car, it will be easy enough to put back as well. Now to
get some time off so I can get it all finished.....
Thanks again Mark.

I was thinking of a coupe at the time, but that works too
