need to replace my Beltronic Pro RX65
Well, my 8 year old Beltronic Pro RX65 has finally given up the ghost
So, I'm in the market for a new radar detector. My C7 coupe should be delivered in August and I'm looking for a detector that: 1) doesn't need to be stuck on the windshield, or, if that proves too expensive, 2) the traditional type that uses suction cups to hand on the windshield.
I'm sure there are "many threads" on this issue, but I didn't find one that presented the "either or" scenario.
I have a Bel Vector 975r 'concealed' detector that is acting up now after just over 10 years. I was going to replace it with a Whistler Pro 3450 (NIB, $100 shipped if anyone wants it), but Dennis hooked me up with a 9500ci that I now have partially installed (I'm on my way out to work on it some more right now).
IMO, spend a few extra $$ and get a decent concealed detector
You know, BEL will re-condition it for like $80. They put in the newest Firmware also. Good deal when mine died after a couple years...
I live in States where detectors are ok, and I mount them high next to the mirror so they can pick up signal at the earliest opportunity...and any cop looking inside would have to bend over backwards to actually see it.
