DNX6990 Problem
My radio went crazy yesterday. The unit will power up but it will come on. The screen comes up with Kenwood logo --stays on a few secounds then goes blank the logo comes on again. No button will work to change screen. Any ideas

disconnect battery
this will reset to factory
then perform the new update to the radio.

thank you, I just did a complete audio install in my convertible vet and it sent everything into crazy mode. Had to reset windows and other items. I will pull fuse and try. Just got this car and the headunit looks to be pretty awesome. I usually use Pioneer AVIC units with great success. Only thing this car needs is a speaker setup, its a coupe and going to put my jl 10" sub and JL amp in it. I need to find a sub box for the car as the items I just spoke up came out of my 2010 camaro i traded for the vet for,

tried the power disconnect with no success. The Kenwood logo still comes up and keeps recycling. I can turn the unit off with the power button but thats it. Any other suggestions other than removing unit to send off for repair.

sounds like you will need to send it to Kenwood.
I am sorry to ask as I don't know your forum name from real name
but if you got it from me just let me know if you need a copy of the invoice to send to Kenwood. You will need the invoice from the authorized dealer you purchased unit from. There is a 2 year warranty on radio

Thanks Dennis ..I just bought this car on Friday and unit was in it...nice unit but worked for all if an hour before this happened...Do you have info on who I need to call. Also could they look up serial number to see who sold it.

If you didnt buy radio there is no warranty on it
BUT
Call Kenwood and be very nice to them and they just might help you out and cover it
