Question about upgrading stereo in C3
My 70' is all original, right down to the radio and speakers. I want to upgrade to a "modern" stereo (e.g. CD player, maybe MP3, etc.) but I don't want to cut my dash to make the stereo fit. Anyone know of where I can find a way of finding out what new stereos will fit without cutting/modifying my console? Right now I'm just looking for a stereo, but speakers are next on my list (only have enough money to piece things together one at a time). I e-mailed ETronics.com and they told me to e-mai the specific manufacturers, which I've done (but I haven't heard back form any of them).

Try radiojoe. Also, you can get CD changers with remote hard wired command units. They look like radio removable faces on a cord. You can mount the changer in the back, install a module with the RCA out and FM reception in back, and control it with this. It can be attached to a sunvisor, stalk, put in the glove, or simply shoved under the seat.
