Is there an advantage to getting the Iphone 5 HDMI package vs. the lightning to VGA cable when installing the Pioneer Z150? I do have an iphone 5 and will be using it to stream music primarily and infrequently playing video. My thought is that the screen size is so small that a 480 VGA signal will look just as good as the 720p-1080p signal that the HDMI cable will transfer. I just haven't seen the difference in person to say save the $70 and go with the VGA connector.

Thanks guys
in order to use the cdih202 ipd cable from Pioneer for the iphone 5 you MUST use the Lightening adapter as well. So to answer you will need both for video connection.
You will only need this combo if you want to do video or app mode. If you want to just stream audio you will not need them.
From Pioneer website
