Default Any alarm experts on CF?

Ive got a 63 Nova Convertible Im putting an alarm in and Ive got a few question. For the starter interrupt Ive got 3 wires. The green/white wire is for the starter [key side] the green wire is for the starter normally open motor side and the green/black wire is for the starter normally closed.Im under the impression the green/white wire Ts into one wire and the green-green/white wire ties into one wire the runs through the alarm controller and back into the cars wiring harness, does this sound about right? Thanks.

You said 1963 Nova, right? I didn't see a green/white wire in the starter circuit. I think this is the wiring diagram for it, please confirm:

If so then the starter interrupt would go somewhere on between the violet wire at the ignition switch --> neutral safety switch --> and the starter solenoid.

I assume that your alarm has a relay of some kind that is doing the interrupt, so I'd need more details regarding your particular alarm to know how it's supposed to work.

My apologies on the missing info. The wires in the first post are the wires in the alarm harness. The alarm is a Clifford 330.3X.Based on an alarm I put in a car years ago the green/white single wire ties into the starter wire, sends a signal to the alarm controller that the car is running, alarm wont arm in this case, the green wire and green/black wires splice into the starter solenoid wire at the starter switch which is the purple wire I believe. This is from what I remember from years ago.I want to make sure I have everything down before I start this job,not a big fan of running wire and routing everything.Based on the stock wiring diagram above the single wire I want to tie into is the pink wire and the wire I want to splice into is the purple wire. Thanks for your help on this.

Ah, okay... that makes a bit more sense. Your alarm looks something like this, right?

Green/White is the Ignition Switch side of the Violet wire.

Green or Green/Black will just be which one is closed when the alarm is disabled and open when the alarm is enabled, and connected to the other side of that Violet wire.

I'm not sure what the ampere rating is on that Nova starter solenoid circuit... but if you wanted to add a Bosch style relay that can handle 30 amps (for about $10) to the design, you could make it so that the alarm turns on/off the relay, and the relay would enable/disable enable the starter circuit.

Just a thought.

Just got in and got some answers. The normally closed wire is the wire I want so the purple wire-I THINK ITS THE PURPLE WIRE- in the car harness is cut and connected to the green-white wire and the green -black wire in the alarm harness, thats it.Now,if I can figure out the rest of the the wires to hook p Ill get it done.Im going to stop by one of the big electronics stores tomorrow and try talking to some of there installers. My problem is I dont want anybody working on my car,its not that I dont want to pay for the installation,I just dont want somebody working on my car.The wiring diagram you have posted is the wiring diagram I have. Can you look at this and tell where the rest of it goes?I need the wire for the siren out of the main harness and few others but Ill go with that for the time being.I think the red wire in the alarm goes to the yellow wire in the H7 Auxiliary harness.Because Im not a certified DEI installer I dont have access to the complete wiring diagram.I have a basic setup so all Im using is the door trigger, hood trigger and maybe the trunk trigger.Ultimately Id like to figure out how to run one of the optional outputs to power the top up-down.
