Default C6 - questions on replacing Bose/NAV H/U

2008 C6 Coupe here. I have a few basic questions. I've been searching all over for answers, but can't find any. Additionally, lots of the posts that seem to be what I MIGHT be looking for, are well over five years old.

If I replace my current Bose/Nav system with aftermarket H/U like Pioneer or Kenwood........

1) can I retain NAV?
2) can I retain HUD?
3) can I retain steering wheel controls?
4) can I retain stock speakers and amps?

Many thanks for any help.

1 - if the aftermarket unit you buy has it, yes

2 - HUD will still work, but only for normal stuff, Nav instructions are gone. However, the Maestro gizmo will some day come out that will let newer Kenwoods be displayed on HUD, but at this time programming still needs to be written for it.

3 - yes

4 - yes

If you DO NOT have onstar and don't want to wait fot the maestro the C2R-GM24 is the interface adapter you need to retain oem amp/speakers.

Several options HERE

Thank you very much! I placed a call to 'Double D' and left message. I really need to talk with someone before I go and order all this stuff.

Your answers are a big help. Thanks again....
