Default Pioneer Z150BH Install questions

Getting ready to replace my OEM Nav head unit with the Z150BH. I have all the adapters needed and I have a couple of questions on the wiring:

The violet/white wire from the Z150 which is the reverse gear signal input-is there a spot within the cabin to tap into without running a wire back to the reverse lights?

What does the pink, car speed signal input connect to?

The light green parking brake wire, where would that connect? Is this also used for video bypass?

The chime that comes with the PAC OS2CBOSE, where are you guys mounting this?

Orange white wire for light dimming goes to grey with black stripe wire on traction control switch, correct?

Lastly, ground from backup camera should be run to the head unit and use the same ground?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Green wire gets wired to one side of the parking brake. I think there might be only one wire.

Orange goes to the Tractions Control or F55 Switch.

Pink goes to VSS, it's actually in the radio connector for the Stock Unit you just have to tap into it behind the connector (or add a lead to the PAC connector).

Violet wire you tap into the BCM (passenger foot well) for the reverse lights.

I will check the harness for the pink wire. Do you know which wire the violet would tap into on the BCM? This might not be a big deal as I have to run other wires from the camera to the head unit anyway. Thanks for your help

Google "Z150BH Bypass" and click on the youtube link

Stuff it into the dash behind the HVAC controls

Yep

You can, but any ground point in the back, a black brake/reverse light wire, or the bumper itself will work.

Think that covered everything, thanks!

I mounted my PAC right behind my radio (there is enough space).

CUT OUT THE NUB the stock radio mounts into!!!!

My Chime Module and my Steering Wheel Control modules are mounted on the sides of the center bin where the HVAC and Radio mount.

The Camera (on mine at least) required running all the wires up to the front. So I grounded mine up front. I also ran an XM wire to the stock location to mount my Sat unit there (if you plan on getting one best to run the wire when the car is in pieces).

Other than that it's not super difficult. Probably the hardest thing is finding a good microphone mounting point.

On the PAC OS2BOSE there is a red wire that goes to a relay and then a red wire comes off the relay. The red wire coming off the relay goes to what, the red wire on the pioneer harness?

Also, on the PAC harness there is an orange wire marked illumination, does that go to the orange white wire on the pioneer harness? If it does then why would I have to tap to the traction control switch?

The Sirius XM module has a connector that is maybe 6 feet long which goes to the back of the radio. How did you mount it by the left rear wheel well where the stock XM module is?

The instructions should be pretty clear with the wires, but yes.

Ignore the orange PAC harness wire, it won't work.

You need a longer cord

There is plenty of room on top of the plastic cover above the passenger footwell (the one with the light mounted on it). Strap it in next to the HVAC motor, or just let it sit on the plastic cover.

Hopefully this is my last question...the OS2BOSE has a blue wire and instructions say antenna and a blue/white wire that says amp trigger. The pioneer harness has a blue/white harness labelled remote control, do I connect the 2 blue/whites together? Is amp trigger for the Bose amp? Leave the blue wire on OS2BOSE not connected? I have a sub with amp, but that is already wired to power from the seat heater fuse, so I dont have to mess with that. Thanks!

Connect the HU 'remote' wire to the wire at pin B3 of the 24 pin connector, that will power up the bose amp.

You should also remove the sub amp trigger from the fuse and connect it to the same HU wire. If you don't the radio will play with RAP, but the sub will only play with ignition

So completely ignore the blue and blue and white wires on the OS2CBOSE?
What color is the wire you are saying to tap in to at B3?

Have everything hooked up and all is good. I tested Onstar, it works, but volume is very low. Is there any adjustment for that?

I've lost track of how each different interface does what

There may be a volume pot on the box, or it may need to be setup using wires, but I'm sure it's here somewhere if you do a good search.

Tonight I noticed that with headlights on the display is not dimming. I connected the orange/white wire from the hu to the grey and black wire on the traction control switch. Is that not the correct one? i did some searching and have also seen comments where it says to connect to a grey wire on the traction control switch.
