Default Power Antennea Question When Replacing Head Unit

I'm trying to put a Pioneer MP3 player into my '92. I bought a standard GM harness and I'm trying to wire it up. All the wires fit fine except for the power antennea wire. The harness has one (blue) but the the blue wire on the Stereo has some sort of connector on the end of it.

The Stereo manual says that it is the "remote/power antennea" wire.

Should I just cut the connector and splice the wires?

Yes
To be sure, test it. The sterio should put a positive out this wire when the radio section is turned on(not CD)
The antenna should go up if a positive is fed to the wire.

I just cut the pink wire and connected it to the blue and it works fine.
