FORGET THIS SYSTEM ... THE HEAD UNIT DOESNT EVEN HAVE AN AM/FM RADIO ... WHY WOULD I PAY $1500 FOR DVD/MP3/5.1 AND NO AM/FM???

what are you putting/using for the rear speakers, and dont forget to register the tuner, if it gets stolen in the 1st year, it gets replaced for free

what are you putting/using for the rear speakers, and dont forget to register the tuner, if it gets stolen in the 1st year, it gets replaced for free
I plan to wire for the rears now ... along with a center channel ... but have not found an amp small enough to fit in the side compartment so I dont have to worry about it matching ... with 150W in each door ... the rears will only be for the 5.1 setup if I do it ... but I am planning for it by running the wires now ...

5 Farad??? Did you mean .5? Looks like you'll be pushing around 800w RMS. 1 Farad is good for every 1000w, however I am not sure if this is RMS or Peak. 1 farad will probably do the job, get 2 if you are worried.

But 5 farads is even better, more reserve power to handle the Amps the drive that monster woofer. I'm running a 15 farad in my system, it's just more efficient!

System looks good, sounds like you have all the bases covered!!

Ok sounds good.

How come you went with the 300/4 instead of 300/2? Looks like the end result would be the same, just curious if theres something im missing :)

Heck, why not... I don't listen to the radio at all but I have a music "KEG" that stores over 2500 titles, tons to listen to :D

I use the AM/FM becuase of traffic and since I work as an intern at a radio station, I have to listen to it sometimes while in the car ...

No, it was a Eclipse Unit ... it was perfect ... but no AM/FM ... I know its not a big thing, but its my dad's car and he like to listen to the radio ... it was sweet ... 8V preouts, CD/DVD/5.1 Sound ... all in ONE!!! ...

Currently ... we have the amps and speakers ... just no HU ... we are still looking ...

We have MB Quart Q218's up front, MB Quart Coax out back, JL 500/5 amp for those and another 250/1 for the 2nd Sub (2 JL 10W3's ...)

Seems like they would have an add on FM tuner for that unit. 8V pre-outs! That is the most I have ever seen. The Clarion I have is 4v but coming out of my crossover jumps up to 5v. It does make a big difference. Anyway good luck with your venture! :cheers:
