Default PAC OEM 1 wiring
I'm totally over thinking I'm sure... I know the factory radio wire harness doesn't have an ignition wire and I need to tap off the the one in the footwell but do i just cut off the red wire coming out of the PAC OEM 1 harness or should I connect that to the red ignition wire of the aftermarket HU that I will be running to the footwell? Basically does the PAC OEM 1 need an ignition input to work or can I just forget about/remove the red on the PAC harness?

What year is your car?

Are you replacing radio or speakers/amp, or both?

red from radio direct to yellow in footwell
for all 97-03
yellow under steering column for 04

no connection for the red on roemvet1

Its a 1998, replacing HU. Thanks DD that is exactly what I was wondering.
