Default Parrot Asteroid Smart Install Help

Let me start by saying that I think I've already underestimated this project, and I'm in disaster aversion mode at this point. Basically I bought the Parrot Asteroid Smart on Amazon. I did not realize I needed some kind of harness to hook into my specific car. (Somehow I guess I thought all systems used universal connectors)

Long story short the people on Crutchfield's support system tell me I need this: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_120GMOS...r.html?tp=3486

So what I'm wondering is if this is the same thing:
Amazon.com: Axxess GMOS-04 Class II OnStar® Interface for Amplified Systems: Car Electronics Amazon.com: Axxess GMOS-04 Class II OnStar® Interface for Amplified Systems: Car Electronics

Basically I'm trying to avoid paying for a $100 connector if it is sold elsewhere for cheaper.

I have a 2008 Coupe with OnStar, but without the Bose system. Not sure what exactly I need, but the Parrot system is on the way.

Thanks for any help guys

that harness will work
but
I would not use the gmos04 with your car
I would use the Pac Audio harness in the os2c

Thanks for the info! Is there any particular reason why you would choose that one over the other? From what I could gather people seem to prefer PAC harnesses on these forums, but I'm not sure why.

Is there any difference in the various OS-2C harnesses besides the BOSE one? I'm seeing some online that say "CTS" after them and such.

As a side note, does this package (http://shop.doubledmods.com/C6-Speak...6UpgradeC2.htm) ever go on sale for you? I'm tempted to jump on those while I'm in the "spending money on the car" mood, but I'm not sure if they'll make a big enough difference to be worth it right now.

The PAC harness uses the same chip as GM, they work great. GMOS works, but sometimes has issues. Get the one Dennis recommends.

With an aftermarket radio the speaker swap is a good upgrade. Call him direct for best prices

Sounds good to me. I'll go with a PAC harness instead of the GMOS.

Are the OS-2C, OS-2C BOSE, and OS-2C CTS all different harnesses? Or are they multiple names for the same one?

Thanks
