My c6 convertable, will be out of storage before you know it, was going to get off my lazy butt and install my components polk speakers in doors and kicker in rear. dreading running all the wires tho. I see that alpine has a KTP- 445U MINI AMP, and clarion has a Clarion XC1410. Was wondering if anyone has tried either one. I see they get good reveiws. And yes i know these are not super high power amps, but curios as to sound if these were add to my polk compone ill be putting in doors and have a set of kicker to go in back . The only thing ive changed so far was i have a pioneer head unit. AVH-X3500BHS.. Im not looking to have a pavment pounding kick *** system, but i thought this could be a improvment and they look very easy to install and are very compact.. From what i read some have said they power component systems fine. I have polk DB6501 to put in the doors ...

So, i guess ill keep new aftermarket amp i have.. Just wish somone made amp rack for c6 convertable.
No sure about the vert but in my coupe the amp fits nicely right behind the passenger's seat. I just raised up the carpet and put the amp there then the carpet back over it and it has worked great for the past year.
Thanks okie, HEY do you have any pic's of it ??. --Last fall i was on here and was told behind the seat too... Its great to see pic's, then maybe ill be more inclined to tackle it when car comes out of storage..

That link from Mark is very detailed mine install was not to that level. I did do the sound installation but I did not glue a board to mount the amp on. Mine is just laying behind the carpet not mounted to anything. With the carpet over it and the seat back it's not going anywhere and I have had no issues with over heating at all. I will snap a few pic's for you this weekend. Here are some of the rest of the install with the original large amp.
Thanks guys. luv to see the pic's. makes me want to jump into it more when mine comes out in spring.. I think the vertable should have same clearance as coup behind seat... May try to hook amp, down with some sort of glue instead of using board. As im still afraid of loosing leg room, if i install board. Ill know more when i get the car out and carpet up.-- My amp is just about 2" in height.....
