Default GLI on 08 Z06

Stock bose radio, 08 Z06, getting alternator whine. I got some GLIs, but don't see any RCAs to hook up to. Do I need an adapter harness? Or am I just missing the RCAs?

GLI's are a fix for aftermarket radios with whine, not all-stock systems.

If you really want to try them on a stock radio you could buy one of THESE and splice the GLI's into the proper wires.

Has the whine always been there, or did it just start?

The whine has always been there. The whole system is completely stock with no alterations. I took it to the dealer when I first got it and they were going to cut some wires and do something.........and I bailed. Didn't want them cutting wires. I'm over it now though, if I need to splice something in, so be it.
I was hoping for an easy install, with a harness adapter. This is the one?

Are you sure it's alternator whine, does it change pitch with engine RPM?

You could just splice GLI's into stock wires, but that's a big leap not knowing if it will fix the issue.

The Add-GM24 would plug in at the back of the radio, then allow oem C1 plug to connect to it. That would allow you to splice GLI's in to adapter on a workbench, then put them in car as a plug-n-play mod that can easily be reversed. You could even put RCA plugs/jacks on the Add-GM24 to avoid cutting the GLI's if you want to.

C6 prints are HERE, the wires you'd need to put GLI's on are plug C1, pins A8-11 and B8-11

I guess it is. It does go up with engine RPM. I'll prob just cut the RCAs off and solder them inline. Each GLI has two jacks. I guess each wire (8) will need it's own jack/lead. So I need 4 GLIs?

2 GLI's, each one has 2 channels, 2 wires per channel. + wire is center of RCA plug, - is outer contact. Make sure the cables are long enough to let you stuff them behind/under the radio, it's kinda cramped back there.

Ah I see. Thanks. Any recs for RCA plugs? I think radio shack is out of business.
I read somewhere that one guy also had to put a GLI on the subwoofer circuit, but maybe my stock system doesn't have that?
I also read where one guy said his was a bad ground on the on star unit. I guess I should check those things (along w grounding head unit to frame?) prior to starting this w the GLIs.

Stock radio only has the 4 output channels, Bose amp does the rest.

I think I'll try providing the same ground to the C2 plug A12 and the amp. In looking at the amplifier plug, X1, there appears to be two ground wires, one on pin A and one on pin F. I find it odd though that the pin A also has a right front subwoofer speaker pos lead. I'd think that would be a short.

Ran a new ground from the battery to the Bose amp and the head unit. No more whine. This has plagued me for 6 yrs. Wish I had done it a long time ago.
I was confused by the diagram of the amp plug X1 in the svc manual. Turns out the ground is on pin A if you have the 5 speaker system, and on pin F if you have the 7 speaker system.
