Default Need help with AppRadio 3 in a C6

Hello all,

So I just installed an AppRadio 3 in my base C6 non Bose and need a little help getting the audio set up to sound the best. Everything except the head unit in the stero is stock. I know to get the best audio ill need aftermarket speakers, amp, sub, etc...but I'm not going that route so I'm just looking to make it sound as good as it can.

I'm quite a noob when it comes to car audio and I'm quite surprised I was able to install and get the head unit to work. I'm looking for suggestions on where to adjust the settings on the head unit to get decent sound. Any help is much appreciated.

Get into Audio Settings and make sure you're sending a full signal out of the radio (High Pass Filter is OFF). Then just adjust EQ to what sounds best to you.

You have minor volume adjustments to even out different inputs with the "Source Level Adjuster".

Which interface adapter did you use? Did you connect the RCA plug wires to it or did you splice in the speaker wires? If RCA's, no adjustments there. If speaker wires, pots on interface can make a big difference.

Thanks for the response. I used the axxess gm04 adapter harness I believe. I connected the wires from the pioneer harness to the adapter harness then it was plug and play.

Ill turn the high pass filter off, but when I scroll thought the audio adjustment menu the source level adjuster isn't light up so to speak and when I click on it it doesn't go anywhere. What about the "loudness" adjuster? It sounds better when I put it on "mid". Does that matter?

Source level adjustment is different for each source (ipod, radio, CD...). Whatever one you're on is apparently the 'default', so it can't be adjusted. If the other sources aren't the same volume as you switch between them, then adjust the others to match the default.

Adjust loudness setings to your taste.

The GMOS has a pot that can be adjusted up IF YOU LOST VOLUME compared to the stock radio. Don't worry about it if your volume is about the same. It can also be turned down if you have distortion.

I did adjust the volume on the gmos to about the same as factory. Ill just need to play with it to get it where I want it.

Thanks again for the insight
