m going to be hooking up a 2nd amp soon, and i had a couple quick questions.
1. fused distribution block - do i need an inline fuse before the block? its going to be a 1/0g wire going out to 2x 4gs. the battery is behind my drivers seat, so the line from the battery to the dblock is going to be 18" max.
2. amp turn on - do i just want to piggy back the 12v turn on from the current wire to the new one? or should go from the headunit to amp 1, then put both amp 1 and amp 2s turn on lead in amp 1s holder?
ill be running a ppi 900.4 (75amp) and a 600.2 (50amp)
I like to have a fuse holder as close to the battery as possible. You just never know what can happen....... Is it imperative? No. Safer? Yes. If that wire somehow gets cut-through, it is not going to act like a fusible link, you will have a fire.
You can run the remote turn-on right from your existing amp to your new amp, no problem there.
