I have a 2011 GS with a non Bose HU. I removed the radio but don't see the connector to tie in the "CM1" chime module, I am using the "ADD-GM24" behind radio. Where is connector for "CM1"? Sorry for all the questions just want to get it right the first time.
On the add24, CM1 black to A12 (ground), CM1 yellow to B1 (B+), CM1 orange to A1 (serial data). See your Amp Trigger thread for C1 diagram.
Chimes are generated by the radio, so they should still come out of the front speakers, even with an aftermarket amp.
If you plan on running rear signal to new fronts, and front signal to new sub, you'll need to keep the center speaker connected through the oem amp or you won't be able to hear OnStar, so oem radio generated chimes should also still play from center speaker.
If you want to disable onstar you can unplug the center speaker, otherwise the CM1 probably isn't needed for your amp/speaker swap.
