Has anyone tried or has knowledge of the Isimple ISGM655 unit (allows bluetooth and USB to factory radio 2005-2013) ?? I am trying to find out if this device works as advertised. Also, I was told some "Factory radio's" even if they have the "Band" button still need to be programmed, by the dealer, to "Activate" the "XM Port" for this device to work?? I called my dealer and he said he never heard of "Activeating" a radio port, the radio either has or doesn't have "XM". Thanks for any feedback.

I just installed mine yesterday in my 2009. I haven't tried Bluetooth streaming yet but the iPhone/iPod integration seems to work well.
I actually wanted it for the USB flash function but found it lacking. It seems to only browse by folder. No playlists or genre functions. These function work well with the iPhone though. Sound quality is excellent.
I'm contacting tech support to see if I'm doing something wrong or need a firmware update but I'm not hopeful. I think I'll have to organize playlists in folders and have duplication of files throughout the drive.
Beware that this unit doesn't remap the soft buttons on the xm band so you just need to remember what they do and how to get around. It's a little confusing at first but not that big of a deal.
I was debating between this one and the unit from USA Spec. That unit is easier to install and maps the buttons with descriptions etc. the only downside is that if you still subscribe to XM, the one XM band is lost to the interface. The other is that it doesn't have USB.
I checked with GM Parts, about radios, that were available, for 2005, and was told only 3, 1) single disk, 2) 6disk, 3) nav. they didn't show a "Particular" radio, for "XM', but they showed the "XM" receiver as a separate unit. They weren't sure if the "XM" port activated when the "XM" receiver was plugged in. Any OEM Radio experts care to reply?? Thanks
Somebody posted about activating their XM feature a few years ago. IIRC the dealer can 'turn on' the XM feature of the radio, but I would check with your local service rep before counting on that.
