Default Deciding on a double din stereo

I'm trying to decide on a double din stereo for my C5 Z06 as I'm going to be getting a double din console in the next couple months. I have a few things I definitely need to have and I was wondering if anyone could help me narrow down my selection. Here's what I want for sure:

1. A VOLUME ****! No buttons or touchscreen for volume adjustment.
2. Pandora support /w Android.
3. Standard bluetooth phone/audio support.
4. Quality sound (duh)
5. High quality display. Preferably LCD/touchscreen so I can use a reverse camera. Also auto-screen-shutoff or a heavy dim timer would be nice as well.

So far I have these in mind:

1. Kenwood DDX470 http://www.crutchfield.com/p_613DDX4...?cc=01&tp=5684
2. Kenwood DDX371 http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113DDX3...1.html?tp=5684

I'm sure there's more. Any suggestions or experience with the above (+experience with a C5)?

Thanks

I really like the idea of an android headunit, but I can't even find a brand name on it. It has a very "chinese knockoff" look to it (not that it actually looks like it's copying something, but it has the same look). Do you have any more information on it? A model number would be nice with some reviews. How is your experience with it?

Thanks

A knockoff of what, exactly? The mainstream manufacturers are doing everything they can to perpetuate their proprietary approach (and guess where their units are manufactured). I decided that enough is enough, gave this a try, and it is everything I hoped it would be, and more (it satisfies every requirement on your list). Good luck!

This in C6, but the unit DDX470, and I love it. Just remember for some reason Kenwood's doesn't come with the remote control.

From the eBay listing: "Only Android system , no Wince!" -- Whoever wrote the listing doesn't even appear to have a proper handle on the english language. The listing has a questionable aspect about it that I'm not a fan of. I'm not a big fan of eBay either. I'd still like a brand name and additional reviews for this before I purchased it.

Thanks, that does look pretty sleek.

I understand. Consumers in China, the global epicenter of electronics manufacturing, would likely have similar reservations about a head unit made in America (if such a thing existed) from a seller who doesn't even appear to have a proper handle on Mandarin. The Kenwood should be fine; I was considering a refurbished DNX-570HD before discovering the Android option. I'll bow out now. Good luck!

I would do this one
Kenwood DDX5901
As you can mirror NAV and anything else on your Iphone or Android

I just ran these on sale for 550.00 for the package deal and will honor it for you if interested
http://shop.doubledmods.com/C5-Corve...enc55901hd.htm
1- Kenwood DDX5901
1- your bezel sent to us to be modified into a double din
1- roem-vet1
1- gm antenna adapter
1- set of brackets

add the hdmi cable for 30.00

This is the best option for you in my eyes for features

Thanks, but I just purchased a double din modified bezel from another forum member (modified by you guys, unused) so I already have the bezel. I did it mainly so I didn't have to ship my bezel and wait 6-8 weeks. So now I'm looking for an independent HU. I like the look of this one though, but unfortunately by itself it's on the edge of what I want to pay. I'll keep it in mind though

Hey Double D, I was getting ready to replace my factory C6 nav, but then CarPlay was announced. Are there any worthwhile CarPlay units shipping yet, or is it too soon?

Sorry for thread hijack, but it would apply to C5's as well.
