Default Installation Info Overload

Wasn't planning to upgrade the sound system but I wound up buying a Kenwood DDX5901HD from my son when he decided to change course. Was prepared to have Dennis do the install but when he brought the radio I found out he already had the Axxess GMOS-04 and the idat-aLink Maestro Sw adapters. Since I was on vacation I decided to tackle the project my self since the fridge was freshly stocked. After reading way too many posts I find that I am confused about several things. Car is a 2010 GS Coupe, ONSTAR, Bluetooth, Std radio (no Bose). The GMOS-04 16-pin harness to the radio harness and 24-pin harness is straightforward. Where I get confused is the 12-pin harness listed as ASWC-1 plug. If I am using a iDataLink ADS module then I assume I don't use the 12-pin harness from the GMOS-04 correct ? On the Maestro side it looks like I only use 4 of the 7 wires from the 7-pin harness and they connect to the 24-pin GMOS-04 connector (A6 Yellow and A7 Orange/Green) doesn't seem correct... and the 4-pin (blue) harness will only use the Blue/Yellow wire which goes to the Kenwood radio harness and the "plug" is not used. Am I way off ?

OEM prints are HERE

I can't remember the GMOS wiring from memory, but pins A6/A7 on the big plug are what connect to the steering wheel buttons, they need to be connected to the SWI.
