The LG G2 I used sits in the glovebox full time. I got one cheap off fleabay for $129 with a bad esn. The Appradio allows 2 Bluetooth connections at the same time just like I wanted. Since I still prefer Windows Phone, I can pair it as the main device for hands free operation for calls and voice search with Cortana. Holding down the Appradio home button brings up the voice command function that's linked to Cortana. It also imported all my contacts from my Lumia 920. When I get in the car, all I need to do if I want to use connected apps on the G2 is just toggle on internet sharing.
Out of curiosity, what made you decide on the App Radio
Well, the plug and play ease and dual Bluetooth functionality so I could still use my main Windows Phone. Plus, I didn't want to go through the hassle of leaving my car so someone could fabricate a tablet to my center console. Otherwise, I would've gone that route.
It cost around $500 with the phone and it leaves open the possiblilty for the future if I want to change using a WP if devs can ever get around to porting the ARunchained or Yav1 app.
Very Nice set up!
By chance do you know which doubledin kit that is you are using.
It looks likes like a perfect match to the HVAC controls.
Some of the kits look terrible.

The current Metra 95-3304 adapter is a match to the dash. A few years ago it was one of the rough textured black ones, but now they match pretty good.
I'm a big fan of the OBD II apps that can be used or mirrored on my AppRadio. This was particularly true before I got an iPhone 6; less of an issue now because the display size is as dramatically different.
I run front and rear cameras as well, which is kind of fun.
