 I ran across this install a few days back searching for more custom door pod/kick panel installs. Not exactly what I had in mind for a stealth install.
Looks nice. Not so crazy about the alpine subs or amps. Lots of fiberglass also. If it was mine I'd have covered the pods below with matching carpet, the doors with matching vinyl, perforated for the speakers, and used better amps. The ones on the doors and the lower pods are just begging to be scratched by a valet or passenger. I hope he has some ventilation for the amps or they will overheat like that fast. Again, I would have matched the dash plate to the dash. The A pillar pods look nice. Little fat. Overall it looks like a good setup.

I agree with all of what you are saying, it is over the top in the way of show-man-ship(sp?), it is more of a show car than anything. I have seen a local install of the Alpine F1 system into a 1996 Vette, and person used 4 amps, and a lot of speakers, but wrapped prety much everything in a carpet or leather to match the interior, he wrapped the amp rack with carpet and the F1 controller in leather ... it looked great, sounded great, and was classy ... and it did sound great .... the Automatic functions of the equalizer, time correction ... make this unit great for any type of music because it adjusts ... so you dont have to.
I have seen that car in person here and competed with him at the last two major stereo shows in Texas. In terms of looks, it is alright, in terms of quality it is not up to par. You have to see it in person and listen to it.

Could you explain? I would think when dropping that much money you could get good sound ....
Could you post pictures of your installation ...???
The one flaw I have heard of in the Alpine F1 system is that it's automatic adjustments sometimes cause problems in imaging, the "Looks" are great ... but you are right ... in competition its all about how it sounds ...
That is Alpine show car. I saw it at Texas Heat Wave in Austin. It does not get driven at all. The onlt weight concerns they have are can the tires handle the weight :D
Kinda sad to see such a awesome car sit still its whole life. If you think this car has a nice install you should see their Benz with their F1 line in it
