LED's and radio reception??
I'm having a reception problem with my Kenwood DNN8901. Radio is clear until I put car in reverse then it gets static to the point that I can't hear radio, just static. Already had LED reverse lights when I installed the head unit. Head unit was pre-wired by Dennis with Double D Mods so wiring shouldn't be an issue. I just installed LED fog lights and now when I turn on the fogs the radio gets a lot of static. Didn't have the issue prior to LED install. Turn off fogs and radio clears.
Anyone have a solution to this strange issue???

Jhonathan said that it happens on some cars with the LED's and others work without issue. He said that he doesn't know of a solution. He said that he has never had an issue with HID's. He said he would take the LED's back and send HID's.

JWMotoring sent me HID's and I removed the LED's and installed the HID's. No more static. LED's looked a little better to me, but only a slight diference. Lesson learned. No LED's for me.

Update. LED's don't affect my Pioneer head unit. Had reverse LED's and Kenwood had a lot of static in reverse. Removed them and went back to stock and static is all gone. Installed the reverse LED's on my Silverado and they had no affect on my Pioneer. I guess Pioneer has a better radio reception than Kenwood. And the Pioneer is an entry level unit whereas my Kenwood is much higher in their line up.

I have a full bag of leds from all over my car that I had to remove and go back to stock. All of them produced RF interference. I did leave the back up leds though. Interferance is short. Led's and C6's with aftermarket audio just don't work together. I have a pioneer head unit, which is horrable. I'm getting ready to switch to Alpine. Maybe I'll try the led's then? Lol...

you can hear my HID headlights fire up through my pioneer. It goes away...but at initial light off, it is audible.

I have a Pioneer x920, a few days ago I put the JWM Ultra Bright LED bulbs in for the high beams and fogs. I just checked, and when I turn on either of the new bulbs my FM reception goes from OK to horrible. I never listen to local radio, and my Sirius satellite radio reception isn't affected at all, so I can live with it as is.
