Default Parrot Asteroid Root and Sideload Applications Instructions

Not sure if you guys knew how to do this but its a real gem. Super easy to root your Parrot Asteroid and sidled app's.

Application Links:
* Framaroot 1.4.1
* ES File Explorer
* Launcher 8 Free

Download and copy the following to your SDCard or Jumpdrive
1.) Download Framaroot 1.4.1 (some newer version do not work)
2.) Download a file explorer, I prefer ES File Explorer

Preparing OS:
1.) Enable Menu -> Settings -> Applications -> Unknown Sources
2.) Click Menu -> Settings -> Applications -> Development -> Application Installer
3.) Find Framaroot 1.4.1 and click Install
3a.) Click Open once completed and from the dropdown box click "InstallSU"
3b.) Select the radio box that says "Glimi"
3c.) Remove faceplate and pushpin the reset button.
3d.) Replace faceplate and restart Headunit
4.) Click Menu -> Settings -> Applications -> Development -> Application Installer
4a.) Find ES File Explorer or your file explorer program and install
5.) Your unit is now Rooted and you now have file level access

Some great option installs I recommend:
* Google Maps
* Launcher 8 Free (the best launcher for the Asteroid Headunit)
* Dashcommand

Attached are all the files you need to get going, including Launcher 8 Free. You may need an internet connection during the Launcher 8 installation, YMMV. As always you assume the risk by proceeding and rooting your device. Also, by doing this you can remove the bloat ware including the terrible iGO Navigation app and replace it with Google Maps!

Enjoy!
