Has anyone used the new AVELECTRONICS plug and play ribbon for backup camera on 2005-2013 Corvette or any other system for the OEM NAV unit with success? I really want a backup camera on my 2012 GS using factory NAV, but not totally oposed to switching out for better unit. Getting close to price of purchasing a new Kenwood, etc. after purching ribbon, camera, and upgrade NAV disc. Just looking for some input on this subject.
I emailed them and they claim to have plug and play unit. Jsee below .Havn't got any feedback from others yet, still searching forum. Please let me know if you run across anyone that has tried this.
The Navigation Video/Camera System for the 2005-2013 Corvette (plug&play ribbon) is $400.00. We have a plug&play version now (don’t need to send in the unit).
This will give you 1 automatic backup camera input and 2 video inputs (can be use for Front Camera/Phone video).

I've wasted more money on less, but $400 for just the module that lets you add a camera is nuts if you ask me. You can prob find a good used aftermarket nav unit for $300 if you look around.
its similar to the old Coastaltech Lockpick.
Which was a major problem and never worked or half the customers ruined the ribbon
There is a reason Coastaltech does not sell the Lockpick 360 anymore....

Thanks. I believe I will just upgrade with a new Kenwood system and keep the OEM system in storage.
