C5 Corvette PIE GM10-AUX Problem
Hi Guys,
I just finished adding a new PAC AOEMVETT-1 to my stock head unit so I can run lines out to my brand new amplifier.
Previously I have a PIE GM10-AUX that worked really well with the stock system. But now, ever since adding the new PAC AOEMVETT-1 and amplifier, the PIE GM10-AUX will no longer work.
The stock stereo head unit detects that there is a "CD player" attached, but it constantly, but when I cycle to it it blinks the "CD" icon for a few minutes, then displays "ERR" and goes to FM.
I've tried some different methods posted to try and get it to work but nothing has fixed the GM10-AUX yet.
I've tried-----------------
Unplugging GM10-AUX, disconnecting, then reconnecting battery.
Turn on stereo, let it fully come up, then turn everything off.
Disconnect battery, attach GM10-AUX, then reconnect battery.
Let everything come up.
-Didn't work.
Unplugging GM10-AUX overnight, then plugging it in in the morning for 30 minutes, then turning on the car and try to let disc player come up.
-Didn't work.
Unplugging GM10-AUX powered up radio, let it recognize nothing is connect. Powered down radio, and plugged in GM10-AUX.
Turned it all back on, gave it time to recognize GM10-AUX.
-Didn't work.
Tried power up radio, unplugging GM10-AUX, waited until "CD" Icon went away, then plugged GM10-AUX back in and waited until "CD" icon came back
-Didn't work.
Now I have no idea what to do next? Is there a chance that the PAC AOEMVETT-1 is making the GM10-AUX not work?
Thanks for the tips!

From post #9 of the C5 Audio Sticky (AFAIK this procedure hasn't failed yet):
IIRC, the AOEM shouldn't affect the GM10-Aux other than it making the HU lose power during the install.
-unplug GM10-Aux from Cor-Har changer cable
-let it sit overnight (a few hours at least)
-with car still off, plug in GM10-Aux
-let it sit for at least 10 minutes
-turn on car & radio, select changer on radio
-if it works (Disc 1 Track 1) you're done
-if it doesn't work, leave car running but turn off radio
-unplug GM10-Aux, then reconnect it
-turn on radio, it should work
-let it sit overnight (a few hours at least)
-with car still off, plug in GM10-Aux
-let it sit for at least 10 minutes
-turn on car & radio, select changer on radio
-if it works (Disc 1 Track 1) you're done

-unplug GM10-Aux, then reconnect it
-turn on radio, it should work

The aoemvet1 must be used with the pxdp and pxhgm4 combo
You can not connect via the changer harness and use the aoemvet1

Markcz,
I tried that procedure yesterday, and again this morning. No luck =/

it is NOT going to work with the combo you have
Only way to do both is to use the PXDP and PXHGM4 or PXDX and PXHGM4 with the AOEMVET1
You can not connect to the changer via the changer harness when using the AOEMVET1 and need to use a PXDP or PXDX connection to back of the radio(pxhgm4)
