I have just built a small box (.65 cu ft) and want the experts opinions on which is my best option for a sub? 6" depth. Listen to rock and hip hop. I haven't picked an amp yet. I was thinking about 500 watts. But I am in the beginning stages of this build.
I was thinking maybe an IDQ10 D4 V4.
Although I have not listened to mine yet, I went with a pair of SSA DCON, in my research I could not find any bad reviews. Nice burly speakers, 400 watts. Little less than 6" mounting depth. I was going to go with JL but saw more negative reviews than I wanted to. The Dcon is their base speaker and go up in power and price from their.
If you can fit an IDQ you will not be disappointed. Throw 500 RMS on it and you'll be fine with that cu ft. Id go dual 2 ohm coils though and find an amp that will do 500 at 4ohms, if you can afford it.

Call DoubleD Mods. You will get the best deal and he has listened to so many different small space subs you will get the best options and price! He also now carries Morel.
JL TW3...Morel Ultimo....Depends on how much you want to spend
Want the best bang, or should I say boom, for the buck. Don't want a shallow sub. I think I can work a regular sub in there. Not looking for the cheapest.
Alpine Type S, RE Audio, and Image Dynamics all seem to be able to fit.
I have a 12" Image Dynamics in my car and like it.
