I am wanting to upgrade the base stereo in my C6 and am considering the Alpine INE-W957HD. There is not a lot out on the web good or bad about this deck so wanted to see if anyone had installed one and what you thought of it? I have always had Alpine HU's in my vehicles but haven't bought one in several years so not up to date on Alpine's quality these days..

It's mostly Kenwoods & Pioneers around here

From what I've seen, the Alpine user interface is way behind the other two brands. If you'll be using the Nav A LOT I'd go with Kenwood, but personally I like the Pioneer interface better.

Go to a local store to see which interface you would like best WHILE DRIVING, then call Dennis at DoubleDmods.com when you're ready to decide

Actually tried that but the local stores do not carry the top end 957HD so was not able to get my hands on it.
For me the navigation is not the priority for the HU, will use it to play music more.. also considering the W960..

When I do decide I will definitely call Dennis and get it ordered..

I don't have the 957 but I have the INE-Z928HD and I really like it. Very easy to use and plenty of options. Adjusting the EQ is a bit cumbersome in how it adjusts but you get used to it. I haven't tried the NAV out on the road yet but I'm sure it works fine.



Really improved the appearance of my interior as well. Can't go wrong with Alpine.
