I have a 1lt non nav Non Bose 07 and im looking to add navigation to it. Id like for it to be bluetooth so i can wirelessly play Pandora as well. Those are about the only two things i care about. That being said what's the best value setup for those two things?
Will this harness work for any double din kit i buy?
I recommend purchasing a double din kit directly from Double D. He is a forum sponsor and provides the option of pre-configuring the harness for the radio that you choose. Additionally, he knows these cars and knows his product line. The stories that you hear about his post purchase support is literally 2nd to none.
Is there a similar kit for cars with Bose? That also includes steering wheel controls? When you add steering wheel controls does it make more sense to the get iDatalink and just interface that to the radio?
The C2CR kit that I linked to is for NON-ONSTAR cars that are either Bose -OR- non-Bose.
If you have OnStar, then you need an OS2C kit. Just the OS2C for non-Bose or the OS2C-Bose for Bose cars.
On the DD site all of the above kits have a drop down just under the displayed price that lets you add SWC to the kit.
There are also interface adapters available that have SWC built in (like the RP4 and RP5), and another GMOS adapter that works better on later year cars (2011+ IIRC).
