Default C6 OEM Antenna???

I know I have asked some questions before bot I cannot find them now

I know of the design of the antenna, I am curious on the powering and control?

I see there is 2 COAX cable going from it to the radio, which is used?

Then there is a Antenna Enable Signal, I assume it is 12v?

There is a FM Composite signal, I think I read one of this signals being 5v is this 5v?

I am thinking of trying this antenna out, Mine works good, but having a hidden antenna would be nice and being powered might help a bit more

this will be an added project for me to try

I would try a Metra 44-UA200 before the C6 setup that would most likely cost way more unless you pull one out at a junkyard.

Only one coax goes to the radio, the other goes to the second module box.

The enable signal is 12v.

I never read a definite post for the FM composite signal, but my guess is that the radio varies it from 0-5v depending on the strength of the station it's on. If you do this mod you should be fine with 5v, but only have it on with FM.

looking at a couple C6 set-ups from eBay Etc.. I currently have a power antenna mast, I can keep it and use the toggle switch to turn it on and off, but I miss the older radios that had a separate control for both amps and radio. I have an Android headunit which I do like..

Is the C6 OEM unit really bad?

It just doesn't seem to do very well with aftermarket radios
