Double Din Bezel
Just got my bezel back from Double D and it looks great.. Thanks Dave.
I have a Pioneer AVH-4400BH touch screen radio that I mounted prior to receiving the bezel. Did a test fit of the bezel this afternoon and I still need to make a few adjustments. I think I need to lower the HVAC controls slightly to get the radio to fit correctly. Is this a common issue? The bezel still has the ashtray and wanted to know if this will cause issues trying open the ash tray.

We do not touch the ash tray section at all so it will work just like stock as it is still stock.

The issue I am having is the radio is already touching the HVAC controls. I have to lower the radio to fit into the bezel correctly but will have to lower the HVAC controls as well, is this normal? The instructions I found online mention that you need to relocate the HVAC controls for the Bezel without ash tray and does not mention having to do this for the bezel with ash tray.

you drop the hvac controls 1/8th inch
to do so simply cut off the insert pins on back of the hvac
elongate the screw holes on the hvac upwards
this will allow it to drop 1/8 inch
use same screws
same mounting points on cage to re install the hvac
the radio is going to sit pretty much on top of the hvac as well.
I always leave the hvac out
set the radio
then install the hvac up tight against the radio when radio is done and where you want it
