I'm getting ready to install a sub and amp. The forums have provided a wealth of information and I want to thank all that contributed. Great information.
On last question: I'm using the ADDGM24 harness to get my speaker inputs. Should I use the front or rear speaker inputs? Does one provide a better signal than the other?
Signal wise they are identical when tapped with the Add-GM24 harness. The fronts have the chimes, but your LP filter on the amp will eliminate them.
If you use the front signal you will have to use the amp gain adjustment or remote bass **** to adjust the bass level compared to the fronts.
If you use the rear signal you can use the front/back fade **** to adjust the sub level compared to the fronts (rear speakers are already significantly lower volume in C6).

Thanks, that's the advice I needed. One more question: what size wire does the amp ground need (using 8ga for the power) and should I run it all the way out to the battery?
Ground wire should be same size as power, and only run it to closest ground available. Depending where you put the amp, seat bolt, B-pillar, or rear bumper. If your battery is in the trunk just go straight to it.
