Only had my C3 for 2 weeks and while replacing my carpet, removed the rear speakers. Seems like the folks at GM must had no more money in the design budget and just placed some metal straps to hold the speakers in place. Seems a very poor design.
There has got to be a better way to mount the rear speakers keeping the factory look.
As I'm replacing the carpet on the speaker grills, I place on installing the speakers first to hid the screws. Maybe using velcro to hold them in place.
Any other ways to make this install not look so... cheap? Or is this expected of my 79?
