Default Installing New Stereo - Need a little help

I own a 2003 Z06 and I'm installing a Kenwood ddx5901 HU, amp and speakers. I'm having a little trouble connecting the 2 pigtails together. I want to make sure which wires go where.

I've had some great help from one of the forum members. Thank you Mark.

No GPS, No camera. Just a straight forward hook up of wires. I know that they will be colour matched but I want to make sure.

P.Const (blue with white stripe)?
ILLUMI (orange with white stripe)?
ANT CONT (navy blue)?

And others red-red? Or red- yellow?

Thanks,

Mike

The white plug is for the existing plug in the car and the black plug is for the new HU unit.

White plug is for existing plug in car, black plug is for the new HU

Run red power lead to passenger footwell yellow I believe

Blue/white is amp turn on

Illumination you run to HVAC plug cream wire on bottom right I beleive

Mark will most likely chime in to verify...

Thanks. Mark has been trying to help me but I'm still having trouble understanding it. I thought it was best to show a picture of what I have.

He's very patient. I need pictures to help me understand.

If you pull the passenger footwell kick panel out, look up in the left corner for three wire taped together. You will use the yellow for your HU constant power.
Yes Mark is very good! Knows all this stuff as good as anybody.

If you found the aux power pigtail in the footwell you can throw the white plug in the trash. If you can't find the power pigtail you only need to connect yellow-yellow and black-black on the white plug (the rest of the wires on the white plug are useless for your install).

On the black plug connect HU black and HU green to footwell black, HU yellow to footwell orange, HU red to footwell yellow, HU orange/white to HVAC (orange wire on white plug won't work), HU blue/white to amp trigger terminal.

Grounding the green parking brake wire is how you do the nanny bypass on Kenwoods.

Ignore all other wires

I think I found the pigtail, I'll make sure in the morning.
I thought it would be easier to connect the white pigtail to the car. In the trash it goes, if its useless.
I need to buy some wire and make the connects. I should get it working tomorrow.

Another stupid question - Would the amp trigger terminal be the terminal between the +12V and the GND. above it says turn on?

What does the emergency brake connect do anyways? Nanny bypass?

What tuning adjustments should I make on top of the amp? (fronts, rears, sub - freq, gain)?
What is auto Sense on or off?

Thanks again Mark.

I bet you feel like
