First let me start by saying I dont know anything about stereos LOL. My car is a 06 Z06. I added a amp and rear woofers for the back by using a adapter with RCA outs from my stock deck. I now wanted to pull the 10" bose door speakers and replace with some 3.5 tweeters and 6.5" coax wired into the original door tweeter harness. Problem is now all I have in front is highs. The door mids are only highs. What wiring or crossovers would I need to keep new door tweeters running highs an mids doing more lows?
Wow. No responses on my Bose 10" door replacement so I was wondering since the stock harness has the 12vdc supply wires and speaker input in the plug for the stock 10" can a small motorcycle amp be installed in the door and wired to a 6.5 inch speaker?
This is the audio section, things move a bit slower over here. Yours is one of only two active threads over the past 24 hours
Your best bet would be to use the RCA adapter you already have installed to supply a new amp that feeds 6.5" components in the doors. If you try to use the existing oem twiddler speaker signal to two different speakers your volume level would be pretty low.
And I wouldn't mount an amp in the door. Besides the possibility of water getting in, there wouldn't be any air circulation, so the amp could potentially overheat.
Re. front/rear bass balance, you'll need to adjust the radio and/or sub amp so it blends better
