Front USB Question

I guess this pertains to any/all aftermarket (SONY) radios?

If I put MP3's on a USB stick.......The radio will play them directly from the USB stick?

Most likely, but very hard to say without a specific model number. The headunit should have come with a user's guide.

It's also likely that, if the headunit has internal memory, it would be possible to copy music from the thumb drive to the internal memory. Again, hard to say, and impossible to describe how to do so, without more info.

My Pioneer(s) both play MP3 and WMA files off of USB sticks. Great for podcasts, books on tape, etc.

Any new HU should play MP3's directly off a thumb drive, but some will limit how many can be put into each folder or it may act strange. Look at the manual for your specific model to see the limitations.
