Re: Mid-year replacement (grumpy in Az)
Would makes a nice midyear stereo replacement?
Would like to replace my stock system with new stereo and speaker in my '63 roadster.
Custom Auto Sound specializes in aftermarket car audio for the mid year Corvette. You could also have your stock HU rebuilt with modern electronics and low line pre outs to hook an amp up and still have the stock HU in the dash. They also make kicks for the midyear as well.
Rex, I installed a Custom autosound unit with a 10 disc CD changer, I used some 2 way speakers with swivel tweetes in the front door panels. (my panels already had speaker in them) and some Xplod 3 way speaker in boxe in the rear. I also put in an Xplod 4 channel amp to drive the speakers. All in all I'm really satisified with the set up.
