Nice! I am considering one of those or a rear center box. Was this DIY?

Yes, it is DIY. The subwoofer hole is already cut out. The terminal cap is in place. All I had to do was wire the subwoofer, then mount the subwoofer with 8 screws. Connect the the amp via terminal clips and it is good to go.

I remove the box easily when I track the car.

I bought another JL 10" subwoofer on Black Friday. I will add the subwoofer by cutting the carpet with a razor knife. 8 more screws, another wire.

FWIW, it also acts as a sound barrier to the trunk, which can let a lot of road noise in.

It is a partition and a sub box.

Very nice. Did you buy or make the center hole cover for the floor?

I don't think so. I have an 02Z and mine doesn't have one. I may have seen one like it before, but most just have the open hole. It looks stock, and I like that, good to make a flat bottom for things and to store something.

Did you build a box onto a partition? What else are you running for your whole audio setup?
Planning mine out.

Thanks nice to see how deep it looks too. I looked at that box vs the partition and the center sub box. Still on the fence just like what components but similar to you-fronts and sub.

Today, I attempted to add a second amplifier. I have a ground loop. A high pitched whine that varies with RPM. I don't want to go with a GLI. I heard it alters the sound quality.

I am thinking of installing a ground wire to the the frame. I wish there was closer one than the grounding point by the door, under the seat belt bolt.

I am planning a 5 channel to use on components and sub(s) making it less hardware. I heard a few adding another ground from the cylinder head to the frame-which ever was not. Aside from the Big 3 wiring I will likely do also,

I removed the second amp. I could not lower the ground loop noise. Ugh, 40 watts per sub is way too quiet. I need a new amp.

Try the GLI. Cheap, easy fix. I did not notice any degradation to the sound quality.

Sorry for more questions but is it too boomy etc behind your head? Really like this setup/enclosure.
Has the GLI solved your problem?

Bass is non directional. I have a 10" JL stealthbox. You feel the bass more than hear it.

no room for the tray that goes on the shelf. i wonder if the 8" subs would have room to clear it.
