My 2000 coupe has the Delco/Bose system in it. The person that I purchased the car from had replaced the entire system with an aftermarket system. Before putting the car up for sale he removed the aftermarket system and put everything back to stock. My question is when I bought the car he included the Alpine aftermarket head unit. Would it be worth the expense to have this unit put in, but keep the stock amp and speakers? Can this be done easily?
I had an Eclipse deck wired into my Bose speakers and they sound great. There is an Adapter that can be used to hook any aftermarket radio into the Bose amp. I think it cost about $40. If the aftermarket deck puts out enough power you may want to use it to power the 3inch tweeters in the door and the rear speakers. I only used the adapter to hook into the amp for the 8 inch woofer in the door, and put and in-line crossover on the tweeter. If you need some more info on the adapter feel free to IM me. I can find out where to get it and exactly how much it cost if you would like me to.
